Our Speaker:
Antonia Modkova, Director of Intellectual Property and Innovation of Soul Machines
Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming our world, both in obvious and not-so obvious ways. As the influence and commercial value of this technology grows across a wide range of industries, so too do the questions surrounding patent protection and other forms of intellectual property rights. This webinar will address the key questions faced by innovators, researchers, technology transfer staff and corporates in this space, including the strategies and opportunities for protecting AI-implemented inventions.
Hear from Antonia Modkova, Director of Intellectual Property and Innovation of Soul Machines, who will provide an overview on:
- Protecting AI-related inventions
- Protecting the output of AI systems
- Infringement risks and practical considerations
Antonia is a patent attorney and lawyer with a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science, specialising in artificial intelligence. She is responsible for growing and managing the IP portfolio of Soul Machines, an AI company developing lifelike and emotionally responsive avatars as a user interface for AI platforms. She serves on the New Zealand’s ADLS Law and Technology committee, and loves exploring how new technologies, particularly AI, will push the boundaries of our current laws and legal practice.
Soul Machines, founded in 2016, is a leader in the humanisation of AI, creating autonomously animated Digital People that empower organisations to reimagine customer experiences in today’s digital worlds and the metaverse.
